We Are Red Card Certified
We are Red Card Certified, which means we have the needed training, qualification, experience, and physical ability to handle wildland fires.
We proudly support the Firewise program in Minnesota, which is designed to help homeowners who live near marshes and evergreens, areas that are prone to wildfires, prepare their homes and lower the risk of wildfire damage to their property. Our team is trained to make the needed landscape design and vegetation management recommendations to help our neighbors keep their homes as safe as possible.
Emergency Removals & Storm Damage Restoration
Severe weather such as blizzards, ice storms, lightning and thunderstorms, strong winds, and more can cause trees to break and fall, creating dangerous situations. Trees can hit nearby power lines, cause road blockages, or damage your home or other property (such as vehicles). When this happens, it’s time to call the professionals.
Our team handles emergency removals throughout Superior’s North Shore, so when a disaster strikes, we are ready to help. We have the safety training and experience necessary to get the job done properly, avoiding further damage and injury.
5 Steps to Tree Removal
1. INSPECT THE AREA
Inspect for areas of decay or rot and whether it’s leaning to determine the best fall direction.
2. CLEAR THE AREA
Remove all objects from the fall area.
3. CHOOSE ESCAPE ROUTES
Should an accident occur, it’s important to have escape routes set in place and cleared of any obstacles.
4. MAKE THE UNDERCUT
We make a 45-degree “V” cut on the side of the trunk that’s facing the fall direction. This cut goes approximately a quarter of the trunk’s diameter deep.
5. MAKE THE BACK CUT
We cut a couple of inches above the undercut on the opposite side of the trunk and go all the way through to make this cut.
Trimming & Pruning
Trimming contributes to healthy growth and improves trees’ appearance. We use a variety of saws, loppers, and shears to get this done.
Pruning, on the other hand, involves removing dead and dangerous branches or sections. Like trimming, this process is good for trees’ health and creates safer landscape conditions.
Not sure whether you need trimming or pruning? Let our team inspect the area and determine the best course of action. We’ll ensure you get the service you need to maintain your landscape and keep you and your family safe.
Why Hire An Expert?
There are situations when you can do it yourself. For instance, if you need to trim smaller trees and it does not require you to work from heights or use heavy machinery, you can take this project on yourself. However, there are instances where it’s best to hire a professional who is trained and experienced in the industry.
If you’re dealing with large trees or have branches and large debris on your property after a storm, for example, you’ll want to call your local arborist to take care of the situation. You can avoid serious damage and injury by hiring the pros. Give us a call or fill out our form to get started with a free estimate. If you need immediate service, call us now!
